Our Story
The Bride
April was born and raised on a small island in Fujian, China. Toward the end high school, she and her family moved to Houston. Shortly after, she ended up enrolling in the Engineering program at the University of Texas at Austin.

Jeff was born and raised in Los Angeles. He worked in the entertainment industry for a few years but was looking to go back to school. Shortly after, he ended up enrolling in the Engineering program at the University of Texas at Austin.

How we met
We ended up crossing paths at an event at school. We found out that we shared a class together. Eventually study dates turned into a real date. Our first date took us to a small festival in downtown Austin, and it ended with us sharing our first kiss outside and soaked in the evening rain.

There is free parking at the chapel. Following the ceremony, we will make our way to the Trump National Golf Club, which is 5 minutes away.

The Trump National Golf Club will have free valet parking. The reception will be held in the Grand Ballroom.

Other good lodging options are hotels and Airbnb’s in the Torrance or Redondo Beach areas. Expect hotels to be around 20-30 minutes away from the wedding venue because there aren’t really any hotels in the area.
Transportation
Airports:
Out of town guests will most likely fly in through Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Long Beach Airport (LGB) is an alternative for some airlines. These airports are roughly 45 minutes away from the venues, depending on traffic.
Ground Transportation:
The best ways to get around the LA area are by rental car or Uber/Lyft. Carpooling is suggested for guests without cars because after the reception, it may be slow to get a Uber/Lyft ride.
Things to do
If you want to stay in the South Bay area (where the hotel and venues are located), you can spend some time relaxing at any of the beach cities nearby (Redondo, Hermosa, or Manhattan).
If you’re willing to venture farther, there’s a lot more of LA to explore. LA has many iconic museums, scenic views, and great food throughout. Some of our favorites (aside from all of the beaches) are the Griffith Observatory, Universal Studios, the Venice Canals, and of course the Huntington Library—where we were engaged!
